At BfE, we are committed to offering pro bono advisory services for social enterprises in the developing world through a dynamic community of students and professionals. To lead the way in tech strategy and innovation, the BfE Tech Strategic Office is dedicated to advancing our tech initiatives and partnerships on a global scale. We are looking for a Global Technology Strategic Office volunteer to design, implement, and take ownership of internal products and services that deliver significant value to our volunteers. This role offers a unique opportunity to make core decisions on what and how we can leverage technologies to support our volunteers and society. Responsibilities
- Serve as a touchpoint for discussions between other main stakeholders, including chapter directors, global managers and global heads, to discuss progress on proposed changes, key objectives and any pain points for improvement
- Conduct or lead any data analysis projects and hence make strategic advice to relevant stakeholders
- Identify areas of development, set and update technology roadmaps which serve for the divisional goals and objectives, including in-house product / service development or third-party product / service adoptions
- Initiate briefs and design documents together with SD Manager to deliver the corresponding products or services, including cost estimations
- Oversee technology project management protocols
- Track technology project updates, and ensure the consistency of project deliverables with initial plans and clear documentation on all existing and missing features
- Archive any finished or parked projects for potential future references
Requirements
- Enthusiasm and commitment to BfE’s cause
- Strong leadership and excellent communications skills
- Experiences in product management or product ownership and familiar with product design and the end-to-end delivery lifecycle
- Experience with analysing product metrics for actionable insights, using tools such as Google Analytics
- Experience with user and market research to integrate into roadmaps, and defining key business objectives for initiatives
- Understanding of different project management methodologies, such as waterfall, agile, scrum or kanban
- Experience with developing product requirements documentation, and planning and executing go-to-market strategies are bonuses
- This role is open to graduate students and working professionals. Exceptions can be made for extremely outstanding undergraduates. There are no geographical restrictions.
